Knitting Conversations at the 14th Factory

”Knitting Conversations” is Movana Chen’s ongoing collaborative project since 2011, weaving people’s stories around the world. This connected piece that crosses time, place, people, cultures, languages, identities, history and memories, an on-site interactive installation & knitting workshop in the exhibition with local public visitors. Visitors invited to being part in the project to knitting together with other participants. Adding stories to the ongoing piece with the shredded paper from books related to the Thirteen Factories of Canton. The participants and the artist Movana Chen will be engaged in conversation while weaving within their hands in a dialogue of past, present and knitting a hope of future - where every individual and every culture is connected through the unique threads.
